10 QUESTIONS FOR MR. MCMAHON |
August 26, 2006 I was chatting with Michael about the new Mr. McMahon DVD. He happened to mention that part of this was a question and answer segment where he answered questions candidly. I have a few questions myself. Some things that I find interesting or amusing. So, if you will indulge me, given the opportunity, I would ask Mr. McMahon these questions. 1. When the World Wildlife Fund sued over the use of the initials WWF, why didn’t you fight it? Why didn’t you tell them that the World Wrestling Federation could not be confused with the World Wildlife Fund in any way, shape, form or fashion. Why did you roll over and play dead? 2. If you were going to change the name, why not go back to WWWF? If you were going to abandon WWF, why not go back to the old World Wide Wrestling Federation? It has to be better than World Wrestling Entertainment. I’m sorry, but that’s just stupid. 3. I understand that you offered to allow Bruno Sammartino into the WWF Hall of Fame but he refused. Were there strings that he found offensive? Or is this just a case of an athlete trying to be a martyr? 4. How do you respond to critics who claim that your angles have gone totally around the bend and are now pandering to the 14 year old male crowd? 5. With the demise of WCW, did you feel vindicated? Or did you feel a sense of let down at the loss of a major incentive? 6. How do you keep motivated? I’m certain that TNA doesn’t present much of a challenge. 7. Why did you move the show from a major cable outlet to more narrowly focused channels? 8. Why did you decide to hide Owen Hart’s death from the crowd when it occurred? 9. Just what are you trying to prove by entering the ring? And my final question for Mr. McMahon. 10. Just exactly when would you say was the point that WWE jumped the shark? |
