TRIPLE H AND KANE MAKE THE PERFECT CHAMPIONS

After reading the editorial by Joel Potter, I have come to the conclusion that Potter has lost his marbles.  In my humble opinion, Triple-H gaining the WWF Intercontinental Championship and Kane gaining the WWF Hardcore Championship are two intelligent, unexpected moves by the WWF management team.

Yes, Chris Jericho is on the verge of becoming a main event superstar; however, him losing the championship does not discredit his ability of being a main event star or even a talented wrestler.  If anything, this loss to Jericho will propel him to become an even greater superstar.  He could become a man who is so obsessed with winning a WWF championship that the fans back him and give him the support he needs to win the title.

As far as Kane becoming the WWF Hardcore Champion, is Joel actually calling "Mankind" Mick Foley an up-and-coming superstar when he started the WWF Hardcore Championship in 1998?  Just two months before he gained the WWF Heavyweight Title?  I think not.

There is no other man in the WWF who can bring more excitement to the Hardcore division than Kane.  This man has gone from being a dentist to a fake "Diesel" to a burned brother.  He truly deserves to go out on his own and become an even bigger star.  I feel that Kane will always be remembered as The Undertaker's younger brother, but if he gains notoriety for being the most hardcore wrestler in WWF history, then that could change the face of history.

Potter spoke about who could be the leading faces in the WWF?  In June 2000, there were three men who were very dominant.  They were: The Rock, The Undertaker and Kane.  What did they want?  They wanted the WWF Heavyweight Championship, which was held by Triple H.

Therefore, the there could a stable of faces to detour the McMahon stable.  They obviously would be Chris Jericho, Bradshaw and Rikishi.  Jericho already has reasons to go after the McMahon stable.  Jericho has never wrestled Austin as far as I know.  Imagine the matches between the Rattlesnake and Y2J.  Jericho needs to feud with the McMahon stable because of the chemistry.  Jericho and Triple H had some of the greatest matches in 2000.  To add more fire to this feud, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley still doesn't like Jericho and Jericho doesn't like Stephanie.

According to this week's Ross Report, Bradshaw is in line for a singles push.  What a better way to be pushed than to wrestle the WWF I-C Champion?  I'm not saying that in the first or second match, Bradshaw should be given the title but with some practice either Austin vs. Bradshaw or Triple-H vs. Bradshaw could be real spotlight stealers.

Another participant in this feud could be Rikishi.  In 2000, he admitted to running down Austin and was enthralled in a brutal feud that really was never resolved.  After being pushed in a feud, Rikishi was placed as a lackey for Triple H.  When Rikishi returns, will he side with the evil threesome?  Or will he bring pride to his "people"?

Placing the title belts on Triple H and Kane will not prove to be a bad move.  In fact it may prove to be the best move on the part of the WWF's management team.  Only time will tell.
