WWE WRESTLEMANIA XIX PREDICTIONS

March 28, 2003

This Sunday night will be the biggest night of the year as World Wrestling Entertainment presents WrestleMania XIX!  The event comes to you live only on pay-per-view and for those without pay-per-view capabilities, head over to
WWE.com and order the webcast version of the event!  Do not waste anytime, order the pay-per-view TODAY!  What a night of action and it's a joint presentation of RAW and SmackDown! so all of your favorite WWE superstars will be on hand.  Let's go through the card and my predictions.

THE UNDERTAKER & NATHAN JONES V/S THE BIG SHOW & A-TRAIN
In a huge tag team match, the Phenom - The Undertaker will team up with Nathan Jones and they will face The Big Show and his partner, A-Train.  Nathan Jones has only wrestled one match on television since aligning himself with The Undertaker back in February.  All four of these participants have a lot to prove as The Undertaker's 10-0 record is on the line.  Taker has never lost a match at WrestleMania and this is his first time participating in a tag team match at the event.  Nathan Jones has to prove to Undertaker and SmackDown! manager, Stephanie McMahon, that all of the hype and attention was well worth it.  At the same time, The Big Show was holding the WWE Heavyweight Championship just four months ago and now he's without a belt.  His partner, A-Train hasn't been taken seriously until this awesome tag team was created.  If these two giant men can knock off two of the most impressive wrestlers in Taker and Jones, then Show and Train have to go after the WWE Tag Team Championship.  They truly could be the most dominate tag team in history.  What's my prediction?  I am actually predicting that Nathan Jones will turn on The Undertaker and cost Taker his first match.
PREDICTION: BIG SHOW & A-TRAIN

SHAWN MICHAELS V/S CHRIS JERICHO
In a match that could resemble Ricky"The Dragon"Steamboat vs Randy"Macho Man"Savage from WrestleMania III, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will wrestle Chris Jericho.  These two men have been battling back and forth since December after Michaels lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Triple H.  Then in the weeks leading up to Royal Rumble, Jericho stated he would do what Michaels did and enter the 30-man event at number one and defeat the other twenty-nine competitors.  He stated he would then go on and defeat the champion at WrestleMania.  However, Michaels declared himself the number one entrant before Jericho therefore, Jericho had to be the second man in the match.  At the January event, Michaels was distracted by Christian as Jericho came from behind Michaels and beat him to a bloody pulp.  Jericho then threw Michaels over the top and went on to make an impressive outing.  Several entrants later, Michaels came out and distracted Jericho long enough for Test to eliminate him.  Ever since then, Jericho and Michaels have traded mind games and physical beatings.  This Sunday will be the tale of the truth for both men.  It's been five years since Michaels competed at a WrestleMania.  Jericho is faster, healthier, and sneakier than Michaels.  In a battle of pure wrestlers and risk takers, who will come out with his hand raised?  What's my prediction?  I feel that at the end of the match, there will be one man announced as the winner and his name will be Shawn Michaels!
PREDICTION: SHAWN MICHAELS

"STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN V/S THE ROCK
The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are preparing to have their third match at a WrestleMania, this Sunday.  Austin has defeated The Rock at their previous two main events which both of them were for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.  At their first encounter, it was Austin as the fan favorite and Rock as the rulebreaker.  Rock was aligned with Mr. McMahon and the Corporation.  Their second meeting was different as they were both the fan favorites coming into the match but at the end it was Austin as the rulebreaker and the man who was aligned with Mr. McMahon.  Now both men are back after a short break in their careers.  The Rock was away filming a movie; his last match was against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.  Austin was away after walking out on the company in June 2002; his last match was against Ric Flair at an episode of RAW.  The Rock has the most to prove right now.  Can he beat Austin at a big-time event?  In fact, can he even beat the Austin?  I did some research and I cannot find any matches between the two except for one where Rock came away as a winner.  The one match where both men were involved and Rock walked away as the victor was at the 2001 Survivor Series.  All of the pressure is on the Rock and I think he will be able to walk out as the winner.
PREDICTION: THE ROCK
