SUMMERSLAM 2005 PREDICTIONS

SummerSlam is this Sunday and can be seen only on pay-per-view. If you are one of the lucky ones to view it live at the MCI Center in Washington, DC then you will have quite the experience. SummerSlam is just as important as WrestleMania in my opinion and it is going to live up to the expectations, I just have a feeling. On to the predictions...

Mind you I'm writing this before SmackDown! tonight so there is a possibility some of the matches could change or more matches could be added.

WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
Orlando Jordan (c) V/S Chris Benoit

In a match that definitely should have more hype than it's received, I think it would be a crime if OJ defeated Benoit. Heck, that would be MURDER! Get it? OJ (OJ Simpson...murder)??? Oh well, I thought it was funny and that's all that matters! Anyhoo, Benoit wrestled OJ at WWE The Great American Bash and somehow lost the match. Despite that loss, I'm picking Benoit to be the new champion.

WWE LADDER MATCH FOR CUSTODY OF DOMINICK:
Rey Mysterio V/S Eddie Guerrero

I'm sorry but since when were children able to be put "up for grabs" in a wrestling match? *shakes head* Anyway if anyone thinks Eddie is going to lose for the millionith time they're cccccccccccccccccccrazy! Eddie's gonna win the match and Dominick is going to go home to papi!

MY PICK: Eddie Guerrero

WWE NO TIME LIMIT MATCH:
Eugene V/S Kurt Angle

This match is for Kurt's...Eugene's Gold Medals and as much as I love the special little guy, I'm picking the Great American Olympian to bring home the gold!

The Undertaker V/S Randy Orton

This is a rematch from WrestleMania 21 where The Undertaker pinned Randy Orton. Now after being gone for several months of inactivity due to shoulder surgery, the "Legend Killer" is back and ready for revenge. Who's going to win? I think Orton will actually pull off the upset.

MY PICK: Randy Orton

Matt Hardy V/S Edge

Women are evil. We all know that and this time Matt Hardy had to learn this the hard way. After being in a relationship with Lita in real life for six years, she cheated on him with fellow RAW wrestler Edge. Hardy found out about the affair while he was out with an injury and was later fired from WWE. Due to the power of the fans, Hardy is back and now gets his hands on Edge in a legal one-on-one match. Who's going to win this one? THE FANS! I have a feeling it will either go to a double disqualification, count-out or time limit draw.

MY PICK: Neither

WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP / NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH:
Batista (c) V/S JBL

This is the second meeting between the two superstars and the first one ended with Batista being disqualified. I think now with no rules for the match, Batista will do anything he wants and will keep the title.

MY PICK: Batista

WWE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
John Cena (c) V/S Chris Jericho

This is going to be an awesome match for me as I enjoy both competitors. I actually can see Jericho winning the championship but I think at this point it would be ludicraus for WWE to take the belt off of Cena. Therefore, John Cena is gonna do the Chain Gang proud and retain the championship.

Hulk Hogan V/S Shawn Michaels

A virtual DREAM MATCH for me and many other fans. This is the match between two of the greatest personalities in wrestling. Shawn Michaels is truly the ICON, the MAIN EVENT, the SHOWSTOPPAH and there is no one who can put on better matches, in my opinion. HBK will be in the Hall of Fame one day...this Sunday he will take on a man already in the Hall of Fame. I actually think Shawn will win.
