Tonight, thousands of fans across the world will be in Indianapolis, Indiana to attend The Biggest Party of the Summer, which of course is WWE SummerSlam. The August extravaganza will air live from the Conseco Fieldhouse - the home of the Pacers. WU Online will be attending tonight's pay-per-view and will have exclusive photos. This past Friday on the Indianapolis FOX affiliate, WXIN-59, a pre-taped segment with Matt Hardy aired. It was VERY short and basically Hardy just said SummerSlam was this Sunday at the Conseco Fieldhouse. He spoke about the ECW World Championship Match that he will be competing in and stated it will be the crowning achievement if he wins. He also mentioned that John Cena will take on Batista and stated this is the first time ever they've wrestled against each other. He said a few tickets have opened up and to catch the show this Sunday. The whole segment lasted about a minute, two minutes at the most. In his e-mail to me on Friday, FOX-59 Sports Director - Chris Hagan, informed me that Hardy will also be on their Sports Sunday program. It airs this Sunday night at 10:35 PM on WXIN-59.

This past Friday night, WWE Intercontinental Champion, Kofi Kingston and WWE Diva Victoria visited customers at Buffalo Wild Wings in Greenwood, Indiana at a Friday Night SmackDown! viewing party. Presented by Comcast, Victoria and Kingston signed autographs and posed for pictures for hundreds of fans. At one point they stopped and walked over to a nearby table where a young man who suffered a physical and mental ailment was sitting. They signed some pictures for him, posed for a picture with him and allowed him to hold the Intercontinental Championship. Afterwards, the boy was smiling so bright that it would've been confused with the sun. When it was my turn to meet the WWE Superstars, I told Victoria that I feel she is a very talented woman and that I feel WWE should have her in a more prominant role than she is. She thanked me repeatedly and I could see she really appreciated hearing those comments. I wished Kofi the best of luck in his Winners Take All Tag Team Match and then the three of us posed for a picture together.

And finally, 1 has been for the WWE Light Heavyweight Championship.

• 27 wrestling personalities who have appeared at SummerSlam are now deceased. They are: Andre The Giant, Bad News Brown, Bam Bam Bigelow, Bertha Faye, Big Boss Man, Brian Pillman, Chris Benoit, Crash Holly, Crush, Davey Boy Smith, Dino Bravo, Earthquake, Eddie Guerrero, Fabulous Moolah, Gorilla Monsoon, Hawk, Hercules, Junk Yard Dog, Miss Elizabeth, Mr. Perfect, Owen Hart, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, Sapphire, "Sensational" Sherri, Skip, "Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich and Yokozuna.

• Shawn Michaels is the only WWE Superstar to have been with the company since his first SummerSlam in 1989 despite a four year hiatus due to a back injury.

• The Undertaker may be undefeated at WrestleMania but his record for SummerSlam is 8-3-1. In fact, The Undertaker hasn't competed at SummerSlam since 2005.

• It has been very hard to dethrone the WWE Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam as the championship has only changed hands 3 out of 17 matches. The World Heavyweight Championship has changed hands 1 out of 5 matches. The Intercontinental Championship is easily won at the Blockbuster of the Summer as it's changed hands 12 out of 16 matches.

• Even though the Divas have been a staple of WWE history, there have only been five women matches scheduled with one of them not even taking place. Women however have competed in two mixed tag team matches and those were in 1998 and 2000.

• The state of New York has hosted The Biggest Party of the Summer more than any other location as it's hosted four SummerSlams. They were: 1988, 1991, 1998 and 2002.
