pages. The record section has date, location, opponent/partner, and result.
It also lists if a championship belt changed hands. One section of the book that I think is a very interesting is the picture section. There are just a ton of interesting pictures. There is even an adorable and funny picture of Bruno Sammartino dressed as Santa Claus. There are pictures of Bruno at Madison Square Garden, in action, being interviewed, and various pictures of Bruno merchandise with information on how to obtain it. There's also one of my favorite set of pictures to look at when looking at professional wrestler's pictures and that is publications that they have appeared on. Before anyone purchases the book, looks at the pictures and says "Well hey, these pictures are kinda yellowish and old." They need to realize this..."Well, DUH!" LOL It would be very silly for one to assume that the pictures will be in perfect condition when many pictures are over forty years old. Along in the picture section are captions that Georgiann wrote so you know exactly about the pictures and any background information. Need more reasons to purchase this fantastic record book? Georgiann has published poems, newspaper clippings, information on his surgeries, and actual live event card listings for different shows. This truly adds a special feeling to the record book. The Bruno Sammartino Record Book has more information than anyone could imagine and it is truly a special book. The reason the book was created is a personal reason that Georgiann shared with me and I have even more respect for her after hearing it. She did this not for herself but for Bruno. That says something about her as a person and it says a positive thing about her. Taking a look back through the history of Sammartino was a very exciting thing for this reviewer and it wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of the author. I really cannot think of anything else that could or would have improved the book. The cost of this book is $50.00 plus shipping and handling. THE BRUNO SAMMARTINO RECORD BOOK |

Who do you think of when you hear the name The Living Legend? No, not the "never
was" Larry Zbyszko. I'm talking about the true Living Legend.
The man that held the World Wrestling Entertainment Heavyweight Championship from
May 17, 1963 to January 18, 1971, and then held the championship again from
December 10, 1973 to April 30, 1977. He is one of the least talked about
champions in WWE history even though he is one of their most decorated champions.
He deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame and he deserves to be treated
with respect. Thanks to Georgiann Makropoulos, he is definitely gaining respect and the admiration he so richly deserves. Mrs. Makropoulos has recently released a Bruno Sammartino Record Book that covers his career. The book is very professional looking with 192 pages. The book has 35 pages that are in color and the record section is a lengthy 122 |
